What Personal Information We Collect

When you use our products or services or interact with our company, we may collect a variety of information, including your location, name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, starting point, destination, payment information, financial information, birthdates, and other information that helps us provide our services to you or expand our services to new users. If you drive with us we may also collect; car insurance, car registration, social security number, driver’s license, and other information we believe could help us ensure that we only work with individuals that can provide the professional experience our users have come to expect from ordering through our platform. We may collect this information from you directly when you create an account, from credit card information, When you use our platform some of your personal information will be shared with the driver that will perform the services. This information is shared to help him locate you and provide the services in a professional manner. Each driver is an independent contractor that shall be bound to an NDA reflecting the terms of this Privacy Policy. You are a third-party beneficiary of that agreement. Although we are not responsible for the actions of independent contractors, we will assist you by providing you with helpful information about the contractor as necessary to assist you in enforcing your privacy rights under said NDA as a third-party beneficiary thereto. As a driver we will divulge such personal information to the users as necessary to assist you in performing the services, This may include, but is not limited to, the driver’s name, a picture of you and the color, make, and model of your car. We will also divulge information helpful and/or necessary to protect our users and assist them in litigation against drivers.

In certain jurisdictions, we may ask a user for a government issued ID, when required by law.

How We Use Your Personal Information

The personal information we collect allows us to create a platform from which to provide the services. You can opt out at any time by updating your preferences or deleting the application from your device. This will not delete previously collected data.

We also use personal information to help us create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our products, services, content, advertising, and for loss prevention and anti-fraud purposes.

We may use your personal information, including date of birth, to verify identity, assist with identification of users, and to determine appropriate services. For example, we may use date of birth to determine the age of our users, and we may use that information to deny service to users that do not meet our minimum user requirements or to otherwise comply with age specific local regulations.

Third Party providers will process payment from user and payments to drivers. Third party providers will process personal information from users and drivers facilitate contact between the users and drivers while masking important contact information of both parties.

At times we may make certain non-personal information available to third parties for reasons other than providing the services. We may disclose non-personally identifiable aggregate statistics regarding user behavior as a measure of interest in, and use of, our service to third parties in the form of aggregate data, such as overall patterns or demographic reports, which do not describe or identify any individual user. Protection of Personal Information

We take the security of your personal information very seriously. Our online services protect your personal information during transit using encryption such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). While we endeavor to protect the security and integrity of sensitive personal information provided to the Company, we cannot guarantee that information, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, will be safe from intrusion by others. When you write a review, content you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share or submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a posting, that information is public. Please take care when using these features.

Identity theft and the practice currently known as “phishing” are of great concern to us. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a top priority. We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, login information, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited email or telephone communication. We intend to make it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the services and other purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. All authorized users may review, update, correct, or delete the personal information in their account by making edits via the service. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request. We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may, in our sole discretion, and in accordance with local law and regulation, retain information until such time as applicable statutes of limitations have run and we may be obligated to retain information by law during the adjudication of a claim or controversy.

You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by updating your account preferences. For other personal information we hold, we will provide you with access for any purpose including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if we are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous, vexatious, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Children & Education

We understand the importance of taking extra precautions to protect the privacy and safety of children using our products and services. Children under the age of eighteen (18), or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, are not permitted to create accounts without the presence and express consent of a parent or guardian. However, it is not possible for us to always accurately and independently verify the age of our users. It is the responsibility of every parent to monitor his or her child’s online activities. This service is not directed to children and children may not use our platform. The parent or guardian may use our services on behalf of a minor and the Parent or Guardian shall be shall remain responsible for and supervise the users activities during the performance of the services. Information knowingly collected regarding anyone under the age of majority shall be used only to provide the services and products available on our platform. We will, within the confines of law, delete the personal information of minors that is no longer used to provide the requested services, If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information without their consent, please contact us. If we become aware that a child has registered for the service without parental consent, or if a request is made by the minor or their guardian, we will delete all such private information from our files.

Location-Based Services

To provide location-based services on our platform we, our partners, third-party services, and licensees may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your computer or device. Where available, location-based services may use GPS, Bluetooth, and your IP Address, along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations, and other technologies to determine your devices’ approximate location. By accepting the terms and conditions you have consented to transmission of your location data. This location data is not anonymous, could personally identify you, and is used by us and our affiliates to provide and improve our services.

International transfer

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, we may transfer said personal information to local or foreign processing centers and process it there or transfer the information to the United States for storage, processing or both.

International Users

GRIDE TECHNOLOGY, INC. currently offers its services solely within the territorial boundaries of the United States. We are not currently a member of the Privacy Shield Framework, nor we have chosen to become GDPR compliant. If you are living or traveling in the United States and wish to use our services, you understand and accept that you might not be afforded the same privacy protections as required by the European Union.

We track our customers over time and across third-party websites to provide targeted advertising and we do not currently modify our services in response to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. If you set the DNT signal on your browser so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked, this will have no effect on our activities. However, We do use third party masking software to allow for users and drivers to communicate without having access to one another’s contact information.

Third parties that have content embedded on our websites or applications may set cookies on a user’s browser and/or obtain information about the fact that a web browser visited a specific website from a certain IP address. Third parties may be able to collect other personally identifiable information provided or collected by us from our websites and applications.

Notice for Minors

At any time, you can delete or remove content you have posted using the deletion or removal options within our services. If you have questions about how to remove content in a specific service or if you would like additional assistance with deletion, you can contact our support team directly. Although we offer deletion capability for our services, you should be aware that the removal of content may not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of that content or information posted through the services.
